Did You Know?
Performance reviews provide an opportunity to make adjustments, however it is focused on the future and not to be used as a punitive device or to criticize a staff member's performance over the past year.
It focuses on the performance of the future.
Nothing in a performance review should ever be a surprise to either the employee or the interviewer.
General Outline of the Workshop:
During this workshop you will look at:
• Why do them?
• What is their purpose?
• What are the expected outcomes?
• What process could we follow?
• A template to build upon.
• Pitfalls to watch out for.
• Next Steps.
This style of review includes a proofing of the current role/job description to ensure it is accurate and up to date.
This process would apply to all full-time, part-time and contract staff positions.
Benefits of the Workshop:
The annual performance review is to ensure that a staff member understands where they fit in their role within the company as well as where they can develop and support themselves as well as the organization.
